About Tara Levy
Tara is an engaging partner, facilitator, and problem-solver. She has a unique ability to see both the forest and the trees in creatively addressing client’s needs.
Tara joins Nonprofit Elements after serving as Senior Consultant at Mission Capital for nearly a decade. She is an experienced trainer and consultant on nonprofit leadership and management. She is recognized as a leader in the field of nonprofit leadership transition, having developed and overseen Mission Capital’s Interim Executive Director program and served as the national Chair of the Alliance for Nonprofit Management’s Executive Transitions and Leadership Succession Affinity Group. She has on-the-ground experience as Interim Executive Director for CASA of Travis County, Executive Director and Director of Operations of YouthLaunch (Urban Roots), and Director of Human Resources for Enspire Learning. Tara is also a 2011 recipient of Open Door Preschool’s Lack Family Visionary Volunteer Award, and recent board member and regular volunteer at Little Helping Hands, among other board and community leadership experiences.
Tara specializes in leadership development and transitions, succession planning, strategic planning, organizational dynamics and culture, stakeholder engagement, and board development.
Tara is an attorney and holds a J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. with Special Honors from UT’s Plan II Honors Program. She is a graduate of the Leadership Austin class of 2005.
